Bahrain

Bahrain
Paige slightly delirious over the fact that Bahrain malls are so big, they have cars INSIDE that will drive you from store to store. This mall has 2 10 screen Movie Theaters, 3 Food Courts, and even an Indoor Amusement Park. Loving Bahrain more and more every minute…and we haven’t even checked in yet!

Bahrain
Crossing over into the Promise Land of Bacon, Beer, and Movie Theatres…After 6 weeks of waiting, we finally got our Multiple Exit/Entry Visa and are headed to Bahrain to spend a relaxing weekend at the Sofitel Hotel! This is the Causeway-long bridge connecting the two countries. The drive itself is about 30 minutes, but Passport Control can take up to 3 Hours. Our first time was a relatively painless 45 minutes.

Jet lag of the worse kind. It took everyone about 2 weeks to recover!

“The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” The Murphy’s are alive and well…just unable to access Facebook until now, albeit only through the iphone. Be prepared for information overload as I try to update to present day: So here is the scoop so far: After 1 moving van, two professional movers, a Lufthansa general manager, 3 ticket agents, a TSA official, 10 porters, 3 Suburbans, 1 mini van, and a small taxi, we (and our 48 pieces of luggage) arrived without incident at 3 am Riyadh time exhausted and glad to be off the airplane. Even Business Class cannot make up for 20 hours flying time!
